There will be lots of new and exciting changes to KC Raqs in 2018. Please note the following information!
1) All activities are located in the Irene B. French Community Center gymnasium (both Saturday and Sunday)
2) Saturday workshops are geared to higher level dancers: the information is accessible to upper-level intermediates but still challenging to advanced dancers and professionals.
3) The Sunday workshop is open to any dancer with some veil experience. This class is limited to 30 participants.
4) This year the show will be a bit different. If you would like to perform, please send in the performance application with your registration. I want the show to be as diverse as possible, so be specific on your application. I’d love to see folkloric, Egyptian cabaret, Turkish cabaret, ATS, fusion, props, etc. Applications will be considered in the order they are received. Please note, troupe applications can only be considered after all troupe members have registered. Depending on the number of early registrations, the show line-up could be drafted as early as June 1st and no later than July 1st.
